Since last year, when European Forest Institute’s office was set up in Bonn, the team has been growing fast. From just two scientists, it has now reached a number of 21 people, all passionate about forests.
One of the latest additions to the team were Ewa and Michele from the EUFORGEN Secretariat, who moved to Bonn from Rome in June. You can read more about them here and why they moved here.
Our Office Manager Heike Kruse has decided to only work part-time as of October, so we are looking for an addition to our team.
That could be you.
The position is ‘Administrative Officer’, but the title does not grasp the variety of tasks that will fall under your responsibility. We remain a small team, so often we all do a bit of everything.
You will have a chance to organize meetings which bring together scientists, foresters and policy-makers. You will be involved in developing projects that make forests resilient. You will play your role in contributing to EFI’s mission by making sure that the office can operate well on a day-to-day basis.
You are a hard worker, well organized and most of all have a commitment to excellence. You are a natural team player enjoying to work in a multicultural environment.
We are offering the job on a 2-year basis, part-time (80%) with possibility of extension. Ideally, the right candidate will be around for a long time, assuming more responsibility as they progress (work permitting).
We welcome applications until the end of July, but the earlier you apply the better. Check out the full vacancy announcement here.
